Mr. Seth Borketey
Seth comes to Obeng Empire with extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry. He is proficient in managing project scope, cost, and schedule in a multidiscipline organizational environment.
Seth has 20 years of experience in plant designing and field construction support. His experience spans a variety of project sizes and complexities. He has led the design team on most of the large-scale projects in Alberta and has completed industrial projects from developing user requirements, scope definition leading to conceptual design, construction, teaching, startup, and turnover on both national and international levels.
Seth holds a certificate in Piping Design from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Calgary, Canada, a certificate in Electrical Engineering from City and Guilds, London, and a certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from the University of New Brunswick, Canada.
Mr. Theophilus Aryee
Theophilus is a Network and Systems professional with over 15+ years of experience designing and managing Networks, Security, and Server Infrastructure. Theophilus has mentored hundreds of new IT professionals over the years, worked on large and complex Network builds, migrations and integrations ,resolved escalated issues, and worked with clients to implement solutions to complex business needs. He has extensive industry experience having worked for some of the biggest firms in the industry: IBM, AT&T, BELL Canada, and SHAW Communications.
Theophilus currently holds industry certifications from Cisco Networks as Cisco Certified Network Engineer(CCIE), Juniper Networks(JNCIS-SP), CompTIA(A+,N+) ,Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF 2.0), and Information Technology Infrastructure Library(ITIL). Also, Theophilus holds a diploma in Network System Technology (Canada) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Ghana).

Ms. Deborah (Deb) Barnie
Deb is a certified Procurement and Contracting Specialist with over 15 years of experience in purchasing, category management, contract management, and project procurement management. Deb has experience in international sourcing, knowledge of international contracting laws, sustainable procurement issues, and experience working with most international forms of contracts. She has extensive experience in developing and executing procurement and contracting strategies for various forms of works and contracts and demonstrated procurement and contract management skills on multi-million dollar projects. Proven leadership in managing successful procurement teams, with demonstrated excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Deb's supply chain management experience spans both the private and public sectors, including Oil & Gas, International Financial Institutions (IFIs), Construction, Facilities Management, Consulting among others. Deb is a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS), Supply Chain Management Association of Canada (SCMP), and a Project Management Professional (PMP).
Dr. Franklin Krampa
Franklin is a Process Mechanical Engineer with an M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. He has over 19 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry including extensive research on various fields of oil and gas transportation and pipeline design. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the province of Alberta, Canada.
Franklin has worked on various projects including facilities and pipeline design. His experience involves upstream optimization, pipeline design, leak detection, and oil sands transportation. He has led mechanical and process engineering design teams for several projects from conception to operation and has extensive experience in plant optimization.
Mr. Daniel Ankomah
Daniel is a registered professional engineer in the province of Ontario, Canada with over 20 years of experience in the Mining and Oil and Gas industries. He holds an MBA from Bradford University, United Kingdom, an M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering and Project Management from Leeds University, and a B.Sc. in Mining and Civil Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology, Takwa.
Daniel’s expertise includes structural design, road design, open pit design, drainage system design, and general civil work. His exceptional leadership skills have enabled him to be the design lead on several projects across Canada.
Ms. Abena Offin
Abena has over twelve years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry in Alberta, Canada, and Ghana. Her experience includes accounts payable, project cost control, schedule, and estimating.
Abena holds a B.Sc. in Accounting from Central University, Ghana and she is an associate member of CPA, Canada. She has also held various positions in the project controls field for some of the bigger oil and gas companies in Alberta, Canada. She has a broad knowledge of project control methodology and software applications and has led many projects.
Tony Ashun-Codjiw
Tony has over 20 years of extensive experience and verifiable achievements in project safety, health, and environmental program development and initiatives. He has comprehensive working knowledge and expertise in industrial and infrastructure construction support and distinguished competency in the development, implementation and maintenance of EHS Management Systems. He has provided leadership in the development of strategic EHS goals to support operational groups and major capital projects both in the private sector and local government.
Tony has been a key representative for Calgary Municipal Government in Contractor Safety Management for Large capital projects including Major Roads Projects, Major Transit Projects, Bridges and Structures and Slopes Stabilization Projects. He has demonstrated ability to maintain long lasting and constructive internal and external relationships with stakeholders. He is a qualified as an ISO 14001 Team Lead Auditor.
Tony holds a MSc Degree in Environmental and Resource Management from Brandenburg University of Technology in Germany and a Bachelor of Education from University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Tony has the Canadian Registered Safety Professional and National Construction Safety Officer designations. He has an Advanced Certificate in Psychological Health and Safety from the University of Fredericton in Canada and also completed TapRoot Advanced Root Cause Team Leader Training.
Mr. Jeffrey Essel-Ampah
Jeff attended the University of Calgary, where he completed a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Petroleum. He previously worked in the manufacturing industry specializing in machine design through 3-D modeling and finite element analysis. Jeff has designed equipment used in building pre-cast concrete structures and related hydraulic equipment. He also led the on-site installation of equipment for refurbishing the Jacques Cartier Bridge in Montreal, Canada, and the San Mateo Bridge in California. After a stint managing a manufacturing facility in Calgary, Alberta, Jeff transitioned to the oil and gas sector where he worked with a group of engineers to design algorithms for modeling reciprocating and rotary natural gas compressors for remote monitoring. Jeff went on to become the VP of Engineering and Development for one of the natural gas service companies in Calgary, where he has worked for the past 15 years. Along the way, Jeff co-authored three reference manuals on Natural Gas Reciprocating and Rotary Compression as well as a manual on the Natural Gas TEG Dehydration process. Jeff recently received an MBA from Royal Roads University.
Mr. Joshua Laryea-Adjei
Joshua is an Electrical Engineer with an M.Sc. and B.Sc. from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University, Brooklyn, New York, USA.
With nearly 14 years of experience in the Power Plants, Mining and Metals industry, and Oil and Gas sectors, Joshua Laryea-Adjei’s accomplishments encompass many fields in the areas of construction management, electrical, protection, instrumentation and controls engineering, and telecommunication systems engineering.
Joshua can implement new processes from the design phase to a reliable and repeatable system per international standards and guidelines. Over the years, he has been involved in all stages of a project (FEL1 to FEL4) and has held many key roles, including consultancy, construction supervision, and technical direction of commissioning and start-up. His strong leadership skills have led him to represent the client as owner-engineer directly managing teams of up to 80 professional individuals from diverse cultural and organizational backgrounds.
Joshua’s recent project experience includes the Kpong Generating Station Retrofit Project, a 100 million project in Ghana, West Africa; Kinosis 1A SAGD project, a $400 million project in Canada; Habshan Sulphur Granulation Plant project, a $500 million project in Canada and the UAE, to mention a few.
